 Gerald Miller, SPPA-chairman, co-founded M. Miller & Son, Inc., public insurance adjusters, in 1960. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, he held his post as president of the firm until 1990, before turning the company's day-to-day operations over to his oldest son, Michael. Through his efforts of 25 years, Gerald was instrumental in having the industry licensed in New Jersey in 1994. He co-founded the New Jersey Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (NJAPIA), and served as its former president and senior director. Gerald also acted as past director for the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (NAPIA). He is the recipient of the Senior Professional Public Adjuster (SPPA), the highest honor awarded by NAPIA in recognition for achievements and dedicated efforts on behalf of the field.
